dummyapi (dummyapi.codesmash.in) is a free fake REST API platform. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This document explains what data (if any) we collect and how we use it.

Data We Collect

We collect no personal data. You do not need to create an account or log in to use any API endpoint. The only data we store server-side is:

• A global API call counter (a single integer, no user identifier)
• Standard server access logs (IP, timestamp, path) — retained for max 7 days

Cookies

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any form of analytics. No third-party advertising or tracking scripts are loaded.

Third-Party Services

The frontend is served via Next.js. External image URLs (e.g. Picsum, DiceBear avatars) may be embedded in API responses — accessing those URLs is subject to their own privacy policies.

Data Security

All fake data in this platform is synthetically generated — no real user information is stored. The platform is for developer testing purposes only.
